Istra is the most northern and the largest peninsula on the Croatian Adriatic, bordering Friuli region of Italy. Kozlović family has been making wine in Istra since 1904 and currently has 17 hectares of vineyards planted 60% with Malvazija grape, 20% Muškat and the rest is Teran and few other varietals. Most of the vines are over 40 years old and sustainable viticulture is practiced in their vineyards. Food and wine is a way of life for people in Istra, including Kozlović family. Truffles, olive trees and grapevines are a big part of the landscape on this sunny peninsula that shape is actually resembles a cluster of grapes.
