The Giol Family is the oldest grape growing family in Mendoza.  María de los Angeles Morchio Giol is one of the great grandsons who was involved in a larger project (San Polo) for several years, then decided to get out and get back to his roots doing small production wine and focusing mainly on Malbec from some of the family's original vineyards, at high altitude in the Uco Valley.  These vineyards are part of our history and that is why we care for the natural resources this village generously provides. The region has a very beneficial day-night temperature range (20c degressin summer) and water from ,elting of the Andes. Las Nencias Valley is located 3,500 meters above sea level, with the backdrop view of the Marmolejo glacier amid the Andes Mountains.  The most distinctive feature of this place is the wild growth of “nencias” a variety of stunning blue-purple flower.
