Originally, there is this man: Pierre Legras, contemporary of Louis XIV and Dom Pérignon. His parents, Laurent and Agathe, gave birth to him in 1662 in Chouilly, today a Grand Cru village on the Côte des Blancs. The first steps of Champagne, a time when the Court of the Sun King is intoxicated with this atypical and unusual wine, which young people love. The birth of Pierre Legras marks the beginning of a great line of winegrowers. Eleven generations have succeeded each other for nearly four hundred years. After training at the wine school of Avize and a National Diploma of Oenologist, Vincent created in 2002, the brand of Champagne Pierre Legras, tribute to his ancestor. Assisted by his father, he developed the farm over the years. The estate grows from 5 to more than 10 hectares, mostly Chardonnay. He invests little by little: press, vats, vines ... so many commitments necessary to offer wines that live up to its ambitions. Today, the inimitable style of Pierre Legras cuvées transcends borders. Based in the village of Chouilly this fantastic Maison run by Marcelline and Vincent create brilliant, crisp wines which are the perfect representation of the village.
