Villa Loren brand, internationally registered, inspired by Lorenza Countess of Panigai, famous family coming from Vicenza city area. Countess Lorenza, died at a young age, enjoyed herself to be called by all the friends Loren, as looked very much like the famous actress Sophia Loren. The family, owners of several hectares in the municipality of Vicenza, decided to plant at the end of the 90s several fields at Glera, grapes used for the internationally famous wine, Prosecco. Today this land, about 50 hectares, produces beautiful grapes that flow to the cooperative cellar of Colognola ai Colli and where are vinified in truly great wines. They market every year around 300,000 bottles branded Villa Loren between Prosecco, Pinot Grigio and recently have extended to Valpolicella and Amarone wines.
